Chavanel hotel | Paris
Shopping is also about making new encounters, being introduced to work by the designers of elegant French brands, where genuine expertise combines with contemporary creativity. The boutique features guest brands or collections of designer objects produced especially for the hotel, as part of the Chavanel’s commitment to French craftsmanship.
A hotel and a boutique
Ready-to-wear, lifestyle, perfumery products, accessories and leather goods all have their very own specialist know-how and personal feel and look.
La Serviette Paris
Nous & Paname
Behind this outstanding perfumery is a neighbour of the Chavanel! The elegant Comtesse de Presle, who launched her famous baume automobile in 1905, lived in the Rue Tronchet quarter. Over a century later, the balm has earned a well-deserved follow-up with a special events collection covered in lace, now available from the hotel boutique.
If, like the Chavanel, you have an attachment to family tradition, you will understand the philosophy behind Maison Père. As its name indicates, Camille drew her primary inspiration from her father’s wardrobe to drive her collections, designed exclusively for… women. She has now also channelled her sense of chic design into interior decoration.
La Serviette Paris
Of all the items that spell travel, none can compare with the beach towel. And when the item in question manages to combine stylishness and luxury with graphic design and soft-to-the-touch quality, it can only trigger an irresistible desire acquire the products dreamt up by Simon and Benjamin. In addition to wanderlust, the Chavanel and La Serviette Paris see eye to eye, too, in their taste for personalisation, as La Serviette Paris also offers a monogram service.
Nous & Paname
When Charlette, Caroline and Andy first launched their “family leather goods” firm, they were guaranteed to meet customers’ expectations for bags in a decidedly contemporary vein, with a dynamic edge. The common denominator with the Chavanel is that they understand that style and convenience have to go hand in hand. This truly Parisian outlook is illustrated right down to the names of their creations, some of which refer to an area of the city or a street in Paname.
It’s no secret that the Chavanel loves strong-willed women. It’s hats off then to the fascinators, picture hats and turbans created by Laure, from Paris to Deauville. These delightful treasures are made, amongst others, from fabrics found in old passementerie and haberdashery stores. For a sense of pride with meaning, and so much more than just an accessory.
When Juliette refers to the Golden Ratio to create her brand, you can be certain that you will get more than an exquisite bag or luxury accessory along with it. For example, all you have to do is tie your belt into a Greek Phi to understand that it is a luxury leather item of exquisite craftsmanship that goes with the grain.
For these items, created specially for the hotel, the Chavanel selects only the finest craftsmen and artisans.
A goblet in the finest Limoges porcelain, which bears the Chavanel’s iconic stylised motif. Although it takes up residence at the hotel in the bathroom, its style is nonetheless a perfect all-rounder: it can also be used to drink tea from, or to hold a bouquet of flowers.
The Chavanel has chosen a honeycomb fabric for its bathrobes. The bamboo and Egyptian cotton weave takes its name from the intrinsic small, highly graphic alveoli, which also have the advantage of drying quickly and staying soft longer. Light, elegant, and sporting the Chavanel label, their wraparound design is ideal. What’s more, they are of course designed in France.
A scented medallion to wear or take away with you. This little ceramic gem is a precious companion for perfuming a suitcase or a wardrobe with the fragrance of your choice. Designed specially for the Hotel Chavanel, its lace motif is also an incentive to keep it with you, close to the skin, as a unique, scented accessory.
Infinitely soft to the touch with exquisite graphics, the cushions designed exclusively for the Hotel Chavanel by interior decorator Anne Peyroux, are handmade in a Parisian workshop. Their pastel shade cotton velvet covers can be removed for cleaning and have the stylish knack of embellishing any cosy interior.
Very soft, in organic cotton and two models (man/woman), this T-Shirt is to be put in your suitcase, so that Paris remains a dream beyond your stay.
Taste and proximity are two values that are very important to the Chavanel. It was therefore quite natural for the hotel to produce its own honey and serve it at breakfast. Genuine Paris honey, made using pollen gathered from the city’s flowers, which have been left to blossom naturally, without the use of pesticides. The bees are kept in the best possible conditions in Paris, but the jars can be taken all over the world by gourmet travellers.
